Alyson is currently enrolled in the MFA Theatre Voice Pedagogy program at the University of Alberta.
She received a bachelor of Fine Arts Acting degree from the University of Alberta. Since graduating in 1984, Alyson has acted in many of the major theatres across Canada. Most notable were her appearances in "Girls in the Gang" (Theatre Network), "Mirandolina" (Manitoba Theatre Centre), and the Citadel Theatre's production of "Jacob Two-Two and the Dinosaur".
She was the drama facilitator at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital from 2008 to 2012.
In addition to her impressive stage resume Alyson has appeared on CBC radio as a columnist and on the CBC television program "Rough Cuts" expounding on the joys of motherhood. On WTN, The Woman's Network, Alyson was a regular contributor to "Point of View".Since 1989 Alyson has been one of the lead instructors at the Citadel's Foote Theatre School. She has taught drama and musical theatre extensively throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas. Alyson has also directed both plays and musicals for young people in elementary schools.
